The best-selling van nameplate in history, the VW Transporter (Caravelle/Multivan/Kombi in different regions) can mean many things to many people. From commercial to campers to off-roaders; you can rest assured there’s a Transporter for everyone.

With so many applications, it’s no surprise that customisation and upgrades are popular.

One such upgrade is to lower the suspension and fit larger wheels, giving a ‘stanced’ look and reducing body roll, which the standard van is susceptible to.

One side-effect of lowering is the change of camber and toe geometry, and the resulting excessive and often expensive tyre wear!

For many years, Powerflex has offered geometry adjustable bushes for the T5/T6 which have proven extremely popular, and more recently has seen the demand for a full offering of wishbone bushes, allowing customers to cover all corners of the van in one convenient, cost-effective kit.

This week to meet this demand, we are launching two new handling packs, providing everything you need to enhance your T5/T6.

PF85K-1010G Handling Pack (Geometry Adj) contains the following parts for the on-car adjustability of all four wishbones.

PFF85-1301G / PFF85-1302G – Front
PFR85-1310G / PFR85-1311G – Rear

This allows a range of up to +/- 0.75° front camber and +/- 0.6° caster adjustment, and +/- 1.0° rear camber/toe adjustment, for improved handling and reduced tyre wear.

PF85K-1010 Handling Pack contains the following parts for those looking for the same increased bush performance and longevity but without adjustability.

PFR85-1310 / PFR85-1311 – Rear

Powerflex Handling Packs contain popular bushes selected from our range to provide the perfect combination of value versus performance. We choose products that will maximize the performance of the suspension, whilst being mindful of cost with a price saving over buying the parts individually.

Our inserts are designed to be a quick and easy solution for excessive transmission movement, whilst the complete replacement bushes provide further stability and more predictable handling.

Either option is a cost effective replacement for worn bushes where bracket housings fitted with bushes can be prohibitively expensive.

For the front of the vehicle we offer a number of parts including a solution for the commonly replaced radius arm bush. Once worn, the OE rubber bush allows for instability under braking, increased tyre wear and steering vagueness. Our bush solves all 3 problems.

We have also included parts with on-car caster adjustment for more precise geometry alignment and control.

For the rear of the car we have a range of sub frame and diff inserts to provide a fast and easy way to increase rear end stability and driver confidence.

The front suspension setup came with both cast and aluminium lower track control arms and we now offer bushes for both options.

The following bushes have been designed and developed to fit the original cast arms.

PFF27-704 FRONT LOWER TRACK CONTROL ARM INNER BUSH is made using our Black Shore A 95 material which helps to reduce unnecessary geometry movement and improve handling.

PFF27-705 FRONT LOWER TRACK CONTROL ARM OUTER BUSH attaches the anti-roll bar link to the control arm.

PFF5-121 GEARBOX MOUNTING BUSH INSERT fits into and fills voids in OE Bracket No. 2231-6765335 as fitted to Mini Gen 1 models from 2004 to 2006.

Inserts are an effective way of reducing engine and transmission movement, improving power delivery and sharpening gear shifting.

PFF85-802 Front Wishbone Rear Bush is a new innovative pivot design for upright bushes, that allows for stress-free articulation of the suspension arm. See it in action compared to the OE rubber bush.

PFF5-1802 Front Arm Rear Bush is an all new bush for the front wishbone, allowing free rotation for performance and longevity. It is supplied with an aluminium outer shell for a precision fit within the bracket.
